Release plans

The wrap-up release of the R-4.4.x series was 4.4.3 ("Trophy Case") on 2025-02-28.

The release of 4.5.1 ("Great Square Root") is scheduled for Friday 2025-06-13. Release candidate tarballs will be made available during the week up to the release.

  The overall release schedule is to have annual x.y.0 releases in Spring, with patch releases happening on an as-needed basis. It is intended to have a final patch release of the previous version shortly before the next x.y.0 release.
