A bright day with sunshine and scattered showers, these heaviest across northern England, southern Scotland and Northern Ireland, where the occasional rumble of thunder may be heard. Drier, brighter and feeling warm in the south, but remaining breezy for all.
Daytime showers fade away to leave a mostly dry night with clear spells, though a few showery outbreaks are still possible in western parts. Winds easing. Milder than recent nights.
Sunshine and showers, these most frequent in the north. Turning increasingly cloud from the west later as persistent rain spreads across Northern Ireland. Light winds, with temperatures around average.
Remaining changeable with a mixture of sunshine, scattered showers and longer spells of rain. Breezy at times, and feeling cool in the north, but temperatures on the rise by midweek.
Updated:
The start of this period is likely to be quite unsettled but also widely warm or very warm, perhaps locally hot in parts of the south and east. Some showers and thunderstorms are likely to affect most parts but there will also be some sunshine. Over the weekend and into the start of the following week, most parts will become drier. However, there may be another brief spell of rain with a risk of some thunderstorms, before high pressure more firmly builds in from the west. The rest of the following week looks like being mainly dry with variable cloud and some sunshine and often warm or very warm. The far north may be largely cloudy with a threat of some more rain at times though.
Updated:
High pressure looks like being largely dominant at first, maintaining plenty of mainly dry and warm weather, but with variable cloud amounts. However, although details are uncertain, late June and early July looks like becoming more changeable, with spells of rain or showers probable at times, some of which could be heavy and thundery. Temperatures are likely to be a little above average overall, with brief hot spells possible.
