StudyLA engages with residents after the Eaton and Palisades Fire to offer soil, water, and air testing and a survey on recovery needs

In the wake of the Eaton and Palisades Fires, disaster recovery experts from multiple universities came together to expedite and empower household and business recovery decisions. Their efforts, as part of a data-informed civic action, will enable residents to be proactive recovery partners. CAP.LA (Community Action Project LA) is funded by the R&S Kayne Foundation and includes researchers from Loyola Marymount University, UCLA, and Purdue University. StudyLA is honored to play a role in the expanding research that includes soil and water sampling and testing, air quality testing, and a resident survey of ongoing needs and concerns during the recovery process.
