Justin Gatlin
- 100m world record holder (9.77 seconds at Qatar Super Grand Prix in Doha on May 12, 2006)
- 2005 World and USA Outdoor 100m and 200m champion
- 2004 Olympic 100m gold, 200m bronze, 4x100m relay silver medalist
- Six-time NCAA champion in just two years at the University of Tennessee
- Three-time USA Junior champion
- Led the Univesity of Tennessee to a NCAA title winning the 100 and 200 meter dashes
- He was the first person to win both events since 1976
- Won five NCAA titles by the end of his sophomore season
- Announced he was going to join the professional circuit in 2002
- Won a gold medal in the Men's 60 meters at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham, England on March 14, 2003
- Named the SEC Track Freshman of the Year both Indoors and Outdoors, Outdoor Athlete of the Year in the South Region by the U.S. Track Coaches Association and Verizon Athlete of the Meet for USA Juniors
- 2003 World and USA Indoor 60m champion
- Gatlin is very talented in art; he nearly pursued studying graphic design coming out of high school.
Gatlin was not highly recruited for sprinting coming out of high school and was originally brought to Tennessee for hurdles. His coaches Vince Anderson and Bill Webb quickly realized his potential and turned him into a sprinter. "He could be one of the best that ever lived," said Anderson.
