Bollywood celebrities like Paresh Raval and Manoj Joshi were also present at the venue and also played chess. Under the watchful eyes of 6 time world champion Vishwanathan Anand players of different age including 140 blind players helped creating this new world record.

300,000 square feet of area was used to play chess and the aerial view was magnificent. Arrangement for playing was such that from the bird's eye view it looked like a big chess board with alternating black and white colored playing arrangements.

Of all players around 1200 players were rated by FIDE as reported by Gujarat Chess Association who provided help and conducted the event. Current world Champion Vishwanathan Anand was the guest of honor at the event.
