The day we lost The Notorious B.I.G. will always be remembered in our hearts. Tomorrow, March 9th will be the 16-year anniversary of his tragic death. It’s never easy to replay the day we lost Biggie, but we’ll never stop celebrating his life and contributions to the culture. Looking back at the unforgettable moments in his career, our friend Tim Westwood unearthed some rare footage from ’95 of Big and Puff rocking London’s Hammersmith Palais in celebration of Tim joining Radio 1. They shook up the place with thundering performances of tracks like “Who Shot Ya?,” “Gimme The Loot,” and other Ready to Die classics. Hit the play button and reminisce.

Biggie was and still is the greatest. To his and Diddy’s credit, Ready to Die and Life after Death still sound fresh today.

Tim Westwood’s that dude! Tim Westwood is the only DJ who has consistently played hip-hop from when mainstream were anti hip-hop.
Him having this footage doesn’t even shock me. I’ve had this whole concert on CD for years, I had no idea there was actual footage.
Biggie, the best to do it! Nuff said!
