Q-1: Your real name is Paul Slayton; where did "Wall" come from?
It was a nickname one of my friends, D. Sykes, gave me because I was always rappin'.
Q-2: Do you find it difficult being a white guy in a predominantly black musical genre?
No. I think it's difficult for anybody coming up in the industry as an artist.
Paul Wall's favorite place to chow down is Timmy Chan's in Houston, Texas. He claims it has the finest chicken the world has to offer.
Q-3: Do you get any flack for being the "white" guy in the industry?
No, not that I know of (laughs). I have never received any flack.
Q-4: What is the best part about being famous?
Uh, I guess the money aspect. I had my fair share of women before I became famous so that hasn't changed much.
