Biography

Jianrong Ma was born in January 1965 in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. He appears to hold a Master's degree in technology economy and management from the Zhejiang University of Technology. In 1981, he started his career in the textile industry working for Shaoxing Cotton Mill, and Hangzhou Linping Knitting and Garment Plant. In 1989, he joined Ningbo Shenzhou Weaving Group (the predecessor of Shenzhou International Group Holdings), a Ningbo, Zhejiang, China-based weaving factory of which his father, Baoxing Ma, was Chairman.
