Use the Insights section of Jetpack Stats to learn from long-term patterns and trends on your website. This guide explains each section of your site’s insights.
This feature is available on sites with our WordPress.com Personal, Premium, Business, and Commerce plans, and the legacy Pro plan. For sites on the free plan, upgrade your plan to access this feature.
To access your website or blog’s Insights page, take the following steps:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Click Stats on the sidebar (or Jetpack → Stats if using WP Admin).
- At the top, select the Insights tab:
Other tabs provide stats on Traffic, Subscribers, and Ads.
The first panel displays your year in review, showing your site’s number of posts, words, likes, comments, and subscribers so far this year. Click the arrow icons in the top right corner to navigate to previous years.
The All-time highlights panel includes the following information:
- All-time stats: The total number of views, visitors, posts, and comments since the beginning of your site.
- Most popular time: The day of the week and time of day your site typically receives the most views.
- Most popular day: The single most high-performing day your site has received the most views.
Below this, you’ll find:
- Latest post: How many views, likes, and comments has your most recent post received.
- Most popular post in the past year: The most-viewed post on your site in the past 365 days.
The Posting activity section provides a visualization of your posting trends, showing how many posts you published over the past 12 months.
The all-time insights section contains a color-coded table showing the total views in a month and the average views per day in a month.
Below this, you’ll find:
- Tags & Categories: The number of views your most popular tags and categories have received.
- Comments: View a list of people with the most comments on your site and a list of the most commented posts and pages.
- Shares: A summary of the social networks your posts have been shared to.
