Using this guide, you can gain insight into your site’s ad stats and see how WordAds performs on your site.
In this guide
You can learn how your ads are performing via the ads statistics:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Click Stats on the left sidebar (or navigate to Jetpack → Stats if using WP Admin).
- Select the “Ads“ tab:
Here, you can view your earnings, number of ads served, average CPM, and revenue. Ad stats are an estimate and are subject to change. They are finalized the month following the one in which they were earned.
Ads Served is the number of ads we attempted to display on your site (page impressions x available ad slots).
Not every ad served will result in a paid impression. This can happen when:
- A visitor is using an ad blocker, preventing ads from showing.
- A visitor leaves your site before ads can fully load in their browser.
- There were no advertisers who bid higher than the minimum price required to display their ad.
Average CPM gives you a basic idea of – based on past data how much you could be making (if you continue doing what you are doing, and get all the factors exact in same place like traffic, demographic, niche etc.)
It is not fixed that you will always make the same amount. You can make more, or less depending on any change you do with your site, content, sharing, user interaction – anything that affects your site value for advertisers.
Revenue displays the estimated average earnings in USD from ads served on your site. You can see the actual revenue earned for previous months 15 days after the month closes by viewing your “Earnings history” displayed below the chart.
