The 5-year relative survival rate for #pancreaticcancer (all stages combined) remains at 13%, reported in American Cancer Society's Cancer Facts & Figures 2025 yesterday. While we are hopeful for new advances on the horizon, we recognize the need to do better for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. 185 people projected to be diagnosed today—and every day this year—are counting on us for the possibility of more tomorrows. 💜 NOW is the time to fuel breakthrough research - donate today! www.lustgarten.org/donate #ResearchIsFundamental

💜This #CancerImmunotherapyMonth, we’re excited to spotlight the cutting-edge Lustgarten-funded projects that are transforming the treatment of #pancreaticcancer. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ewi5b_Tt 🔬 Cancer immunotherapy is the use of the immune system to prevent or treat cancer. Unlike chemotherapy or radiation, it is a type of treatment that boosts the body’s natural defenses to fight cancer. It uses substances made by the body or in a laboratory to improve or restore immune system function. Through this therapy, the immune system is guided to attack and kill the cancer cells. Immunotherapy has been very successful in treating other types of cancer, which is why pancreatic cancer experts believe it has promise. #ResearchIsFundamental
