After graduating with a BA in theater, she went on to attend graduate school at Yale University, where she earned her MFA in drama.
Career Beginnings on Stage
Hahn began her acting career on stage. As a graduate student at Yale, she starred in productions of "Cabaret" and "The Misanthrope." Television Career
Hahn first appeared on television as a kid on "Hickory Hideout," a children's puppet show filmed in Cleveland, Ohio. As an adult, she had her breakthrough on the NBC crime drama series "Crossing Jordan," playing the main role of Lily Lebowski. The series ran for six seasons through the spring of 2007. Meanwhile, in early 2006, Hahn appeared in two episodes of the short-lived NBC sitcom "Four Kings." She became much more prolific in the 2010s, beginning with a three-episode role on the HBO series "Hung." In 2011, Hahn had a main role opposite Hank Azaria on the short-lived NBC sitcom "Free Agents," and in 2012 she began playing the recurring role of campaign manager Jennifer Barkley on NBC's "Parks and Recreation." Hahn began her film career playing supporting roles in comedy films. In 2003, she was in the romcom "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," and the following year she appeared in "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," and "Around the Bend." During the latter half of the decade, Hahn's credits included "A Lot Like Love," "The Holiday," "The Last Mimzy," "Step Brothers," and "Revolutionary Road." Kicking off the 2010s, Hahn appeared in the comedies "How Do You Know," "Our Idiot Brother," "Wanderlust," and "The Dictator."
